The GoNative Project

GoNative is a partnership between agencies, nurseries, landscapers and community volunteers dedicated to the promotion of native plants as part of a comprehensive effort to preserve the natural ecology of the Wood River Valley.  The GoNative project provides an educational resource for responsible stewardship of the natural beauty of a sustainable native landscape.

You don’t have to start from scratch to GoNative. Even a small native area will enhance the beauty of your landscape, reduce your water consumption, and inspire others to join in the movement toward vigorous, hardy and drought tolerant landscapes.

What can be “greener” than returning your garden to a self-sustaining landscape?  A native landscape requires less mowing, pruning, water, and energy. Plus, it saves space in our landfills. Our fish, birds, pollinators, and mammals thrive in a habitat rich in shelter, berries, fruit and flowers.
